Authors On the Move

Sacramento’s Premier Literary Event

This year’s “Authors on the Move: Once Upon A Time” presents keynote speaker, Daniel Handler, a.k.a. Lemony Snicket and his recent book, All The Wrong Questions: “Shouldn’t You Be in School?”  Authors on the Move is known for bringing together 40 plus distinguished California authors with their recently published books for an evening of literary delight.  This year, many of our authors will be toddler, children and young adult writers who are bringing the joy of reading to children through their stories.

Beth Ruyak of Capital Public Radio’s Insight will return this year as Mistress of Ceremonies as will auctioneer Pat Hume of David Sobon Auctions. Guests will enjoy a champagne reception, a four-course meal from the Hyatt Regency’s farm-to-fork Executive Chef, Jason Poole, unlimited wine, conversations with three regional authors at their table, Daniel Handler’s keynote presentation, and a live auction which features opportunities to win one-time author experiences. The Avid Reader Bookstore offers all titles for purchase the night of the event.

Sponsorship opportunities are available. Tickets are $225 per person or $1700 for a table of eight. For further information call 916.266.3103.

Authors on the Move is being held on March 14, 2015, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento downtown, 1209 L St, Sacramento, CA.
